Architectural Significance of Minster Court
Minster Court, designed by the GMW Partnership and completed in the early 1990s, is one of London's most distinctive office buildings. Its postmodern-Gothic architecture sets it apart from the more minimalist and rectilinear structures in the financial district. The building is clad in polished rose granite and features a variety of sharp angles and gabled rooftops, which evoke the grandeur of Gothic cathedrals. This iconic structure consists of three separate office buildings that combine to provide over a million square feet of space. The architectural style has raised eyebrows since its completion due to its bold deviation from traditional office building designs, yet it remains one of the area’s most recognizable landmarks.
The building’s most famous feature, aside from its architecture, is the set of three life-sized bronze horse sculptures that stand proudly in the forecourt. Created by artist Althea Wynne, these horses—nicknamed “Dollar,” “Yen,” and “Sterling”—symbolize Minster Court’s historical and modern connections to the financial world. The building’s exterior has also made appearances in pop culture, most notably as Cruella De Vil's fashion house in the live-action adaptation of 101 Dalmatians.

After spending six years at our Old Street office, the expiration of our lease provided the perfect opportunity to re-evaluate our needs.
